Growing Dissent in the General Assembly

As the cyber security crisis unfolds, a growing number of countries are voicing their dissent of the secretaries general. Among those countries are Pakistan, Greece, Israel, and India. “The delegation of Pakistan is deeply concerned with giving more power to the already overtly powerful secretariat,” claims the delegation of Pakistan. Israel, too expressed their growing concerns, stating that, “they are abusing their power.” We reached out to the Crisis Director who commented that, “Israel, as always, is playing politics and ignoring the issue at hand.” As delegates continue to work through this crisis it is still unclear if the Secretaries General and the Crisis Director will see any extra powers extended to them.
