The International Schools Attending CLEIMUN18
As CLEIMUN evolved from a fairly small conference in the Saint Edward’s gymnasium to the encompassing event it is today, so did its international involvement and relationship with schools across the globe. CLEIMUN began its international initiative in 2017, when they welcomed students from Saint George’s College in Santiago, Chile. This helped to expand delegate’s viewpoints and provided them with perspectives that originated from a place none of them had been to. This program has continued, as several students from Saint George’s College are currently serving as delegates at CLEIMUN18, and with all that they have offered the local delegates, we can hope they return for numerous conferences to come. Another precedent set at CLEIMUN18 came with the attendance of several students from Saint Peter’s College in Auckland, New Zealand. Several members of the school are serving as delegates at the conference and are allowing others to learn about experiences and cultures other than their own. CLEIMUN is now an establishment with international involvement spanning four continents and plans to continue to enrich experiences with new perspectives for years to come.
