The Political Committee has just passed a resolution originally submitted by Bolivia, concerning the protection of the rights of indigenous people in South and Central America. The resolution promotes education about indigenous cultures with certain times of particular emphasis (similar to Black History

Month). The committee also arranged clauses which regulate corporate purchases of land owned by indigenous people and update previous resolutions and laws which give indigenous people the rights which they deserve.
