Meet our Secretaries-General

Claudia Stephens and Anthony Perrins are the two Secretary Generals of CLEIMUN18. As Secretary Generals, they have the highest authority at the conference. They are responsible for the administrative tasks, organizing and training the secretariat, and making certain that the conference runs smoothly.

Anthony Perrins is a senior at Saint Edward High School and this will be his third time attending CLEIMUN. At his first two conference he was Deputy President of General Assembly and President of General Assembly, respectively. He was first introduced to Model United Nations by his father, Michael Perrins; director of CLEIMUN. From a young age, he went to different conferences and watched until he was finally old enough to join. From then on, he attended every conference he could and worked his way up to the position of Secretary General. His favorite personal story is, “making a speech at THIMUN* and passing a resolution.”

Claudia Stephens is a senior at Saint Joseph Academy and this will be her third time attending CLEIMUN. She has worked as a co-chair of the Environmental and Social Committee and then Deputy President of Security Council. When asked what interested her about Model United Nations, she said, “MUN really drew me in because the topics were really interesting and it felt like you were working towards a go

al that was effective and real since these are actual world issues.” Her favorite memories from Model United Nations have come from new relationships. One specific example was at THIMUN when she was assigned a seat next to a girl name Giulia and now, they still keep in contact and chat with each other.
