CLEIMUN18 Press Team Announces New Partnership for CLEIMUN19

Starting this year, an exciting addition is coming to the CLEIMUN Press Team. The CLEIMUN18 Press Team, led by Dylan Zsigray ‘18, and his team of senior leaders (Hannah Carruthers, Grace Semon, Mary Chura, Jack Brancatelli, Amir Issa, Alyza Titschinger, and McKenzy Connelly) will be shadowed by the future CLEIMUN19 Press Team, led by Richard Perrins ‘20. Each member of Perrins’ team will be assigned to a CLEIMUN18 team member in order to learn about the different aspects of the Press Team: writing stories, managing social media, creating films, and marketing. Chura, Chief of Social Media, expressed her willingness to help, saying, “We are all very excited to be working with and teaching the new team, and we wish them the best of luck as they start their first conference.”

Prior to the conference, the CLEIMUN19 Press Team will work on assignments and projects in conjunction with their senior leaders, while at the same time learning how the Press Team operates. During the three-day conference, they will be immersed into the current CLEIMUN18 Press Team by closely following and observing each leader as both work on their respective tasks. Perrins has stated that he hopes both he and his team can get valuable experience on how to run CLEIMUN’s Press team for next year because starting on February 18, once CLEIMUN18 is officially over, the CLEIMUN19 Press Team will take over and begin their process to get ready for the following year’s conference.

The CLEIMUN18 Press Team is grateful to have partnered with Perrins’ team and they look forward to mentoring them. When asked how he would make sure the new team feels welcome and understands their respective roles, Zsigray answered, “I am currently working with Richard to design a plan that includes his team experiencing how the conference operates prior to, during, and after. Richard’s team will gain an invaluable understanding of what the Press Team does as work is given to his team.” Every member from both teams are very eager to get started and begin working with one another so that CLEIMUN18 can be the best CLEIMUN thus far.
