The delegate of the UK has passed a resolution through the Security Council, after a long and vigorous debate. This resolution builds on the work of the National Episcopal Conference of the Congo (CENCO), and emphasizes the importance of participation in free and fair elections as soon as possible. Furthermore, the resolution supervises the creation of a board to control the transition of power in the country, and creates measures to ensure that this is also fair.
