Political Committee Passes Resolution to Ease Conflict in South China Sea

The Political Committee has just passed a resolution concerning conflict in the South China Sea. The resolution was originally submitted by Thailand and focuses on easing territory concerns amongst countries, while also guaranteeing free trade. Furthermore, the resolution called for the ASEAN Foreign Ministers to be brought back together and will impose sanctions on countries who do not cooperate with the new resolution terms.
