CLEIMUN17 Flags Commemorate Commitment and Passion for Model United Nations

The Cleveland International Model United Nations Conference is supported by the John P. Murphy Foundation and the Michael Meissner Memorial Gift Fund.

Michael Meissner was the former Chairman of the CCWA Board who unexpectedly passed away in May of 2016. Michael’s relationship with CCWA started when he was a high school student participating in CCWA’s Model UN Program. That experience sparked his lifelong interest in world affairs. The many world flags seen at the CLEIMUN conference were purchased with support from Michael Meissner’s Memorial Gift Fund. The flags are a tribute to Michael’s life and his passion for the Model United Nations program.
